Artists selected for exhibition will generally have proven their "bankability", and bring to the Association a strong exhibition history. Consideration will also be given to emerging artists, however it should be noted that a fairly conventional, non provocative theme and presentation is essential - as appropriate for showing in a commercial office setting. Practicality (given the nature of the exhibition space) is also imperative, and it is unlikely that installations or multimedia works will be selected for display.
Selection of Artists and their materials is the sole domain of the curator, the Association, (and guest curator where relevant).
Images of wild and timeless landscapesGrowing up on the NSW Central Coast, Matt spent the majority of his childhood hopping over the back fence exploring the wonders of nature and the different effects weather has in shaping it. Over time his love of wild places, and wild weather grew and combined with a new found interest in photography.
Living in the Illawarra with wife Megan he enjoys the natural diversity the region has to offer. As he states 'Situated between the mountains and the sea, with the national parks of the Sydney region and South coast within easy reach, there’s no lack of inspiration'. His aim is to reveal the natural world in all its created glory, by using light, that crucial element that unveils mood and character, revealing things seen and unseen in a moment of time; for he believes God is visible in creation. Although Matt's passion is the wilder landscape, he also takes time to indulge in the inhabited landscape, whether urban, industrial, or rural, looking for the unusual or a sense of time and place.
